Case Study Thoughts
For Morwenna Jones, getting into Cambridge was a dream come true. But the stress took its toll and she fell ill as she reveals how mental health problems are on the rise at our top universities. In your view how important is an education if it comes at the expense of your health?

 Case Study

  • How do we define illness? What level of illness constitutes ‘severely ill’?
  • Would it be prohibited / disliked / recommended / encouraged to pursue education if it is likely to severely impact your health?
  • Who is responsible for identify students in such circumstances? Who should be responsible in deciding whether to pursue or withdraw from education in such circumstances? The student, parent or university?
